Seattle Real Estate Market
The Seattle real estate market is on fire. For instance, the average sales price for a Seattle house comes in at over one million dollars with a whopping 1,016 houses sold. The most expensive home sold was a waterfront home sold by Ewing & Clark. On the other hand, in April 2020 the month ended with almost half as many sales. 557 Seattle homes sold with the average selling price of nearly $925,000.
The most expensive luxury condo sold for $3.9 million this past month. The highest priced condo sold in Queen Anne and featured a modern 3 bedroom 2.5 bath condominium Furthermore, several other Seattle luxury condos sold for well over $2 million. Overall, 343 Seattle condos sold in April 2021 for an average of just under $600,000.
Conversely, in April 2020, the most expensive condo sold $2.2 million in the Madison Park area. Indeed, it was the only Seattle condo that sold for over $2 million. Furthermore, like Seattle single family homes, about half as many condos sold last year. For instance, 186 Seattle condos sold for just over an average of $578,000 in April 2020.
Seattle Waterfront Homes
Eleven Seattle waterfront homes sold this month with the highest priced paid for a Lake Washington waterfront home that sold for just under $12 million. The 4,850 sq ft Washington Park home was sold off-market by Ewing and Clark’s Betsy Terry and Jane Powers. Of the other Seattle Waterfront homes, two others were on Lake Washington, one was on Puget Sound at the tip of Magnolia, one on a creek in North Seattle, and the rest were on the Ship Canal.
