5 Things To Do This January in Seattle
It’s a New Year and with it comes many spectacular activities to do around Seattle! Here is our list of 5 things to do this January.
Resolution Run & Polar Bear Dive: January 1st
Get ready to make those New Year’s resolutions and join in the Resolution Run and Polar Bear Dive 5k. You can walk or run at Magnuson Park, located near the neighborhood of Windermere. Afterward, if you so choose, take a plunge into Lake Washington! Diving in the waters is the thing to do for a fresh clean start to 2023. There are prizes for the top 3 winners of the race. Furthermore, there will be FREE chili, hot chocolate, coffee, plus more. All entries will receive a long sleeve t-shirt. The event starts at 10:30am. You can register here.

Free Museums: January 5th
Every first Thursday of the month 5, Seattle museums open their doors for free entry: Burke Museum of Natural History and Culture, Museum of Flight, Museum of History and Industry, National Nordic Museum, and the Seattle Art Museum. Winterfest in Lake Chelan: January 13th - 22nd
Head east to Lake Chelan where amidst the snow-covered hilltops so you can participate in a Washington Winter Wonderland. Lake Chelan Winterfest is the place to be to experience intricate ice sculptures, the infamous ice bar, the ice slide, live music, and two brilliant fireworks shows. There is a range of ticket options, prices start at $10.

Northwest Remodeling Expo: January 20th - 22nd
If you are looking to remodel, or just curious about getting some new ideas for your home, be sure to check out the 3-day event Northwest Remodeling Expo. Located at the Seattle Convention Center, there will be a variety of vendors to improve and update your home. There are even free interior design consultations available! Tickets are $5 for adults, children under 18 are free. Note that this is a cash only event.

Harlem Globetrotters: January 29th
The Harlem Globetrotters are a U.S. basketball team that plays exhibition games all over the world. Comprised of both men and women players, the team combines athleticism, theatre, and comedy in their playing. You can see them play live against the Washington Generals, who will stop at nothing to beat the world’s winningest team. Tickets start at $34, get your seats while they last!
