5 Things To Do This July in Seattle

Summer is in full swing and there is an abundance of activities around the city. Here is our list of 5 things to do this July in Seattle.

Shakespeare in the Park: July 6th - August 6th

Summer has arrived and that means it’s time to grab a picnic, bring your friends and family, and go see the Seattle Shakespeare Company perform live in a park. This year’s Shakespearean production will be ‘The Tempest’, which explores many themes such as magic, family, revenge, and more. This classical play is free and will be held at various locations such as Luther Burbank Park Amphitheater on Mercer Island and Volunteer Park on Capitol Hill. Most of the shows begin in the evening, so be sure to bring a blanket and sweater. Locations and times of shows can be found here.

Downtown Summer Sounds: July 7th - September 8th

If music’s your jam you’re in for a treat. Downtown Summer Sounds is a free, live, local music event hosted all summer long in Downtown Seattle. There will be an array of artists and genres played ranging from indie pop, to glitch-hop, country, and more! Locations for this event will be Occidental Square in the historic Pioneer Square, Westlake Park in the Downtown shopping district, Bell Street Park in Belltown, and more locations throughout Downtown.

Hawaiian Summer Holiday Concert: July 12th

Have a staycation and listen to the sounds of the island music performed by internationally acclaimed guitarist Makana and the Seattle Symphony. There will be styles of bossa nova, flamenco, and Hawaiian slack-key guitar played. This show is one day only and sells out quickly. Get your tickets here. The show starts at 7:30pm.

Ballard Seafood Fest: July 14th - 16th

Calling all seafood enthusiasts, the Ballard Seafood Fest is happening this summer and you won’t want to miss it! Celebrating since 1974, this annual festival has a multitude of vendors in food, drinks, arts, crafts, and more. Experience the heart of Ballard, eat seafood, drink a pint in the beer garden, and listen to live music. Don’t forget to try this year’s Salmon BBQ. This festival is located on NW Market St. Join in the fun at this tasty and entertaining event, it’s a great way to experience the neighborhood at it’s finest!

Seahawks Training Camp: July 26th - August 16th

Football season may be over but the action never stops and you can check out your favorite Seahawks players this summer at Training Camp. Kick off the day by riding a bus from the pro shop and then get into gear to watch a mock game of football. In addition, there will be music and food vendors. There will also be an autographed football toss and more! Located on the Eastside in Renton. Get your tickets here
