Seattle International Film Festival: May 9th – 19th

This year is the 50th Seattle International Film Festival, truly a can’t miss event. The festival offers many dynamic, diverse films spanning decades. You can head to one of the many participating festival venues or stream from the comfort of your home. The event offers discussions with Hollywood heavy hitters June Squibb and Jean Smart. There will also be a Closing Night party at MOHAI on May 18th where they’ll give away a prize to the person wearing the oldest piece SIFF swag. University District Street Fair: May 18th & 19th

University District Street Fair

Head over the University District for the 53rd Annual Street Fair! Shake off spring and welcome summer at this arts and crafts fair that takes over 10 blocks. A great way to support local artists and small businesses. Sample fare from food trucks like Blinchiki and La Jitana or tie one on at one of the beer gardens. Entertainment includes live music, DJs, martial arts demonstrations, a kid zone, and more. Don’t skip the farmer’s market on 50th Street on Saturday from 9am – 2pm. Get more details here.

Night Market: May 31st

Night Market

Celebrate the culture and cuisine of Southeast Asia at Night Market hosted at Hotel Andra in Belltown. Chef Franz Palentinos will share cooking tips and serve street foods from the Philippines, Taiwan, and China. He’ll be joined by Cocktail Master Julie Ross, who will be crafting libations that pair perfectly with the food, and showing you how to do the same. This demonstration is hosted by Hot Stove Society from 5:30pm – 7:30pm. Tickets are $150 per person.
